Distance: Too much, too fast.

My Deepest Shame: Barely staying ahead of people nearly twice my age.

I finally decided to put a photo up. My photos aren't going to be of the best image quality for the most part, because I'm using my camera phone, but they're better than nothing.

This particular photo is dark, because once again I was in the least-fast group, and therefore finished well after the real runners had already cooled down and were just chit-chatting. It's poorly composed because towards the end of the workout I was running so deep into my anaerobic zone that I could barely walk. Maybe I should rename this blog "Run, Tortoise, Run!"

By the end of this summer, I'm going to get out of the least-fast group, I'm going to start running with people my age, and I'm going to finish early enough and with enough oxygen in my system to get a good shot.

It's good to have goals.

200m x 3 warmup, 100m recovery
1000m (5k race pace), 400m recovery
600m (5k race pace), 400m recovery
800m (3k race pace), 400m recovery

400m (3k race pace), 200m recovery

400m (3k race pace), cool down.

Distance at pace: 3 miles
Warmup: 600m
Recovery: 2500m
Total Distance: 100m shy of 5 miles
